In Basketball a player can earn a chance to get a free throw.  The player is asked by the referee to go to the free thow line.  In the free thow at a baketball game a player is giver two tries, he can earn one point to shot.  That means that the player has a chance to earn a total of two points on the free throw line.  The free throw in basketball can make or break a game, depending on how close the score is at the time of the free throw.
